Vietile a trei barbati din New York se intersecteaza in mod tragic atunci cand curatitorul de fose septice Sully Haverson, care se rusineaza de IQ-ul sau scazut, decide sa fure suma de 50.000 de dolari din seif-ul gangsterului local Parmie Tarzo pentru a-i oferi iubitei lui Mary un camin confortabil si sansa de a se inscrie intr-un program de fertilizare in vitro, care permite selectarea fetusilor cu un coeficient ridicat de inteligenta. Disperat ca lumea sa isi aminteasca de el pentru ceva memorabil si dorind sa intre in Cartea Recordurilor, mafiotul Parmie Tarzo incepe o campanie de salvare a padurii Staten Island, in vreme ce oamenii lui il obliga pe bacanul surdo-mut Jasper Sabiano, care este prieten cu Sully Haverson si este pasionat de cursele de cai, sa transeze cadavrele victimelor provenite din afacerile murdare ale gangsterului.
